My dad is from Kowloon, next to Hong Kong Island, the literal translation for Kowloon in Chinese is NINE DRAGONS. There is a large wall there with 9 dragons. I’ve been releasing these dragons over the last year. The full album is out now – for free / pay what you like on bandcamp (with lyrics and story for each song) plus the usual online stores and Spotify.
I love that KALA always has a meaning and story behind her projects and how she links into her heritage and Asian descent and has her Bristol twang and melds it all in. Her tracks are catchy but also theres a lot of thought and layers that go into her songs (NINE DRAGONS)
